I think we should have a trophy as the prize, champers is okay, (perhaps we could get the VS champage supplier to sponsor with plenty of the free stuff?) but a trophy would be better IMHO with maybe smaller individual ones for the crew members.

Maybe this could even become an annual event esp. if good publicity is had by all?

To toss in another option, here at MS we have a large sailing group, and could probably convince the owners of the large sailing budget to compete if VS don't want to play.

Let me have a think about prizes too.

I was thinking more along the lines of what we have done before for the V-Flyer Awards, etc., but on a larger scale - something attractive to display with smaller ones for the team members to keep. Unless anyone knows a Trophy manufacturer who might be willing to donate a piece?

What's this "Ellen" all about, I seem to have missed something?
