V-Flyer

At a previous V-Flyer social Dean and I chatted with several people about the possibility of having a drunken celebration in Blackpool for when we sort out our Civil Partnership. Well we've set the date - 23rd June 2007!

We haven't got any dates planned yet, maybe early - mid June. We will probably just pick a weekend and then throw it open to anyone who fancies coming up.

Anyone fancy it?

It will be Daniel's 2nd birthday the next day so I will probably be at home in Russia at that time, but more than happy to celebrate a bit later at the boat trip. Congratulations anyway[y]

Think we might be sorting out Blackpool for the weekend of the 16th June. No hotels sorted yet, normally stay in a B&B near the station and bars (unfortunately no MO's in Blackpool)...

Oh I may. I have had this idea of hiking in the Lake District for some time and June 16 would fit will into that.

Would be great to see you guys if your around! I guess we really should start to think about where to go and stuff.

Dominic ... you'd have had a whole four days to recover! You'll be in the need a holiday to get over it mood so why not a night out in Blackpool!

Thanks everyone! Well what started out as a drunken idea for some drinks to get drunk again in the roughest of cities is now going to require some actual proper organisation.

Firstly dates to clear up some confusion, we are getting Civilised on the 23rd June in Birmingham - a small service with close friends. The Blackpool jolly is a V-Flyer Hag party (Stag & Hen - or just a pair of old Hags) on the 16th June.

We'll confirm details over the coming week, but initial thoughts are stay at the Hilton - too many V-F's can't cope with anything less. Then on the Saturday hit the Pleasure Beach daytime, organise some food somewhere and then see if we can reserve some tables at Funny Girls. And then any bars or clubs - at that point our organisation will have ended and we take no responsibility for the rest of the night.
