Neither have I. I just talked to Flying Club because I had not gotten my new gold card to replace my expiring one (they had my address wrong even though I corrected it a couple of months ago). I asked about the Summer Party. They said "selected" gold members are being invited. My guess is that they try to rotate who gets invited to their events so that everyone gets a shot (although I bet the V50s get to go to all of them)

Snail mail Jonathan... 2 successive weekends so four parties in all... list preferred dates and they'll try to accommodate.

Does this take place every year?

I've never received an invitation.

Thats the last time I invite SRB to one of my bar-b-ques.

OK well in that case there may be an invite @home as I leave before the post arrives!

Snailmail? Then I'm sure my invite is lost with my Gold Card If I was not invited because I was not selected that's ok since I'm sure they could not accomodate everyone. But I'd be annoyed if I didn't get the invite because VS did not have my right address. Yesterday was the 3rd time I had to call to get it corrected(first no post code but had everything else, then no house number but had everything else, then no house name but had everything else)

if anyone has a spare ticket and cannot go I'll have it please!

According to the information we have been given onboard, Flying Club Gold members can log onto http://www.flyingclubevents.com to request tickets for the summer party. Successful applicants will be notified after August 9th.

Interestingly, AFAICS, it doesn't mention anywhere on the site (inc. the terms & conditions) that you have to be a Gold member, even though they seem to be the only people notified of this event.

I'm down for the 4th and 5th September as I'm in LAS the following weekend.

Hopefully should get tickets!

I just had a look at the T&C and couldnt find any mention of Gold either.
