PCP 2008

Don't all shout at me at once, but Mrs F has asked me to ask the question about possible dates for a Jan PCP.
We have various options for travel plans over Christmas and New Year & Jan and was hoping that we may be able to combine a PCP into the mix if we have a timescale.

cheers
Iain

For those of you who may wish to attend, who also have intercontinental flights to organise, do you have a preferred locale when considering international UK airports? We would like to see if there is enough support to move north of Watford, so your input would be appreciated.

Oh nowhere, I was indicating preference for a PCP location north of Watford gap!

Thanks,

As it is right now I have serious doubts about making it to anything before the RBS, way to mush $$$ has been spent already for next year....and Nicole is getting married...so that option is out...inside joke between myself and another [:I]

Isn't Nicole the one that I was supposed to be playing with, Dave?

Will be spending bucks on a cruise next January so may not be able to make it. But if I can get there I will and it doesn't matter to me where, as long as there's good air service and a decent hotel.

Hmm. Also to aid in the USA members, AMS would work VERY well for the two most likely US members. I have NWA flight benefits and NWA is taking over the KLM IAD-AMS route Jan 2007. Sure AMS is easy for other US members too.

Also the second weekend in Feb 2008 would work better for US members as it is a three day weekend. President's Day weekend or something. I Vote VF DOES KOLN 2008. Cheap beer (one euro for a huge one), cheap nice hotels (booked the Hilton for 114 euros a night), and food with flavor. German Wings flys London to Koln if you want a cheap flight but LH and BA fly the route too. ShezyJet does too.

I vote Manchester, more nice hotels.

And I'm always in Birmingham anyway :)

I fully concur, unless I've got a chance of persuading you all the Hull is actually the best place ever to have the PCP[:?] (you could all fly in and out of Humberside airport[:w])

I am in favour of a V-Flyer social in Manchester. Would make a nice change to have something north of Watford rather than the usual alternative of going overseas. I understand that it may be a little difficult for some people to get to Manchester but that's what Virgin Trains is for!

Bazz, there are plenty of hotels in Manchester City Centre that will be willing to talk to you regarding a social. The Lowry Hotel and the Hilton Manchester (at the Beetham Tower) come to mind.

Hey, you've already suggested Cologne/Bonn in Germany so you can't vote twice! [}:)]

Ok well CGN is better than anywhere in the USA or UK but I have a suggestion.

We have had a Chuckie Day. We NEED a Honey Lamb Day SO I suggest that PCP 2008 be in honor of her and SHE picks the venue and date. Hell her schedule is crazy....

So HL, where is the PCP? Need to book...

Wherever we hold the PCP, I'd go with the flow, though choosing an easily accessible location with a decent hotel, some things to see and do would potentially increase attendance.
