Suggestions welcome, one wkend in Sept?
Might involve public establishments serving alcohol +/or options on a River boat shuffle style cruise down the river...[:?]
Any raiding parties from the glorious south/or beyond interested?

Can we make it late September cos might be away before that. And I did sort of suggest doing something so wouldn't want to miss my own party!

For travel to York, there is a great company called Grand Central, who tend to be a bit cheaper -or at least- have less rigid conditions than National Express East Coast. Grand Central do London to York non stop, so plenty of time for uninterrupted corkage!

I suppose we might be up for this also (although I still think Hull would be a better venue). September is a good month for us and the format used recently where people can come and go for all or part of the social works best.

This exiled Yorkshireman would be glad of the opportunity to escape the South West and return to Gods County for a weekend. [y]
Sept seems fine for me at the moment - fixture list is out today though [:D]
There's racing at York on Sun 6th September and Fri-Sat 9th/10th October if that's of any interest?
Cheers
Michael

I suppose this means I'll have to go and buy a ferret, wippet, pigeon and cloth cap.

Ooooh fighting talk Darren lol. Don't forget your inocculations too. Think along the lines of 'I Predict a Riot' by the Kaiser Chiefs for an average night out oop north.

Weekend of the 6th or the 19th for us.
Stayed at the Hotel du Vin before now there and that was pleasant.
