Air Caraibes fit 360 Y seats with 31" legroom like VS, albeit 10 abreast...

https://seatguru.com/airlines/Air_Carai ... 0-1000.php

They also have 38 seats in their version of PE and 24 seats in their version of Business Class in a 6 abreast config. Apart from 10 abreast in Y and obviously having a different Upper seat, I personally think the Air Caraibes layout is an indicator of what's possible and how VS will get 410 seats in. The A350-1000 is certified for up to 440 seats (480 if a newly-developed exit option is taken up), so there's multiple possibilities if there's a need for it.

I'd be interested to know if the Loft will feature or if that's been sacrificed on the leisure-config A350's.

I think it'll go to be honest. Maybe we could see a wander wall V2. That would fit well for a 20J/48W split cabin.

I think that you are right that they may have taken inspiration from air caraibes, maybe we will see the Loft go and replace it with a wander wall which takes up significantly less space and can be used for Upper and Premium cabins. All we can do at this point is wait for 'Soul Rebel'

I don't think VS will opt for 10-abreast. They aren't a low cost carrier looking to stuff people in. It also doesn't make sense to go back to the market to find a narrower seat when you already have an existing Economy seat in use on the A350.

They will probably scrap the loft on the leisure 350s and replace it with a wonder wall so they can get more seats in.

DIAZLUXO wrote:That seems very logical seeing as they have it on the 787 and Virgin has the decency to not put 3-4-3 on an A350

It will allow space for extra seats which are needed to ensure the leisure 35Ks have a similar capacity to what the 744s had.

They will probably need to reconfigure some of the business 350s to meet future demand like they did with the 747s. They only had 5 leisure ones originally, then they ended up with 8.

It'll be interesting to see what config the A330-900neo's are delivered in. I imagine seating capacity will be not too dissimilar to the current A330-300's, albeit with the new Upper and Premium seats. They are used on a mixture of leisure and non-leisure routes. I'm not sure what benefit there will be to reconfiguring some of the 787's given there's no leisure routes at the moment that the A330's can't do, though you never know, especially as they still have the old Upper seat which I'm sure VS will want to standardise at some point in the future.

Without wanting to scare people, some airlines have 9 abreast in Y on the A330. Thomas Cook used to before they reduced the density of their A330's at around the time they changed the corporate colour scheme.

I don’t know if the new seats on the 350s will be feasible for the 339s as the dimensions of the 2 aircrafts are very different. They may get new seats all together.
