Looking at sale fares - have logged on to my account and done a couple of dummy bookings, but can’t see a way to use miles against the cost. Has VS stopped you being able to do this on sales?

You can only put points towards flights when it's a pure VS flight. If it's a flight with an onward connection, you have never been able to put points towards those.

That makes sense - though I’ve only been looking at direct flights, and with VS? Wondering if it’s because they’re sale flights I’m viewing, or if I’d maybe need to call give them a call…

Make sure you're logged in as well. MpM fares will only show if you're logged into your account.

VS may have also made the choice to not offer MpM fares with the sale fares.

I've just picked a random flight in Nov (MAN>JFK) and it is letting me add points to it at the usual rate of 3000 miles = £16.50 off.

I also tried that - when logged on, it let me part pay with miles, but the option wasn’t there for sale fares. Looked and looked, and then looked some more, but couldn’t see a way to do it, so perhaps it has indeed been quietly removed from sales. Grrrr….
