I'm bouncing between Malta and Gibraltar next month and snagged a very good Club Europe fare. I may be joined on one leg by a work associate which leads me to ask if, like VS, BA allow a guest into the lounge providing they are also flying BA that day?

This is correct - unlike VS, you can't bring a guest by virtue of the C/J fare, only by having status.

No.
With no BA/OW status traveling on a club ticket best option is ask the dragon if you can bring in a guest, you may get lucky if its not chocka.

No way of paying to bring a guest in - BA likes it's lounges to be exlusive ! There is no reception in the lounge in Gib - at Club check in they give you a pin number to enter on the door lock so who would know if you brought a sneaky guest in or not !! [:I]
