According to another forum, BA are planning to move most of their long haul from LGW to LHR when the open skies agreement comes into force, including MCO!

Will this effect Virgin at all?

Have you ever tried to get to Stansted from anywhere else but Larrndan?
Its without doubt the worst airport to get to if you live in the civilised parts of the UK [:p][:p]

...wouldn't leave much of a Virgin presence at Gatwick if they too moved long haul to LHR ;)

I'd welcome Stansted....but then again I live in East Anglia, and the tractor routes / A roads make it easily accessable...

Tish and pish, sir. If you live east of the Pennines it's a doddle. Well, except for the A14 between Huntingdon and Cambridge, which is a nightmare of M25 proportions.

As for the LGW / LHR debate, as a non CH user, give me LGW any day.

Prceisly my point, the A14 and the M11 nightmare.
Why would you come down when you have a "wonderful" full service Virgin flights [:o)] available form nearby, namly Manchester [:o)]

Perhaps I was bit excessive with the geographical spread of my initial comment, but any problems with the A14 / M11 are naught compared to the risks of having to use the M25 from Junction 21 in either direction.

Mind you, I do know the ways to avoid the A14....
