Great news, especially for the Touch, though until 3G / HSDPA comes to the iPhone I'm holding off.

When I see a 64GB/3G iPhone, I'll buy one. Until then, a 64GB Touch MIGHT do it - but this minor update isn't enough to move me...

I have a 16GB Touch and love it to bits but I think the 32Gb is too expensive especially as you can get an 80GB Classic and an 8GB Touch for just £30 more. And of course this would be even cheaper in the States.

As someone who fell for a 16GB Touch, now stuffed to the rafters and lots of creativity going on in iTunes which is to time consuming, I agree. 64GB might tempt me, but charging another hundred bucks for a minor upgrade is making me a little bored with Apple.

Also, charging £329 for the same 32GB Touch in the UK is a terrible $645 compared to the New York price of $534 (price plus sales tax in New York).

Considering that o2 have altered the tariffs is that the best Apple can come up with in response? [:0]

I had a look at the 32gb Touch in the Apple Store in Boston - a very nice piece of kit it is as well. [y]
Interestingly it is only available at the moment in the Apple Store - Best Buy, Circuit City et al make no mention of it; though they are offering incentives to buy the old stock (20% off iTunes vouchers with purchase!)

Also, I don't know if this applies in the UK, but Apple stores are offering to 'recycle' old iPods - regardless of condition. They give 10% off the purchase price of a new one if you surrender an old one at the time of purchase. Not overly generous, but I suppose it all helps.
