only place I can think of would be Dixons Duty Free.
They have a website and a phone number listed on it so you can always give then a call.
Huzzah for International Jet-setting !
haven't seen it there but haven't really been looking...
I don't think Dixon's can sell iPhones can they?
Having looked at the LHR website, the only shop I can see that could possibly sell iPhones is the Vodafone shop in T5 but even then it's land-side so wont be tax free.

You can get the I phone 4 32 gig in the states for $299 and get in unlocked when you get back to the UK,or at phone shop in the States
Cheers all. It does seem odd they can't sell the unlocked one. New planned needed. DM thanks for the US thought but I generally fly to the Far East rather than the US.

Wonder why the UK isn't on that list All iPhones bought direct from Apple in the UK are SIM free.

I wasn't aware you could get it in the US without a contract from one of the carriers? When you say unlocked in the US or back in the UK do you mean software i.e. jailbreak or unlocked properly by Apple?

You can do I believe, but it's definitely not at $299! think it's $699 / $799 unsubsidised over there!

Should have pointed out that list is the 'also available' list - as the OP asked about availability in the far east - the countries mentioned above on the page also have sim free available: UK, Australia, France and Germany.
