Seems like the BA sale precipitated some movement in VS.

Managed to book LHR-JFK-MBJ-GLA in Upper for £1450 yesterday. 4 night layover in NYC then on to Jamaica, connect back through JFK to Glasgow on Delta One.

Have seen this price as low as £1300 in past sales but not since May 17 BA sale, been consistently £2500 this year occasionally dipping to £1700 so just jumped on it for June next year. It immediately went up to £2600 per person but has now returned to about £1600 by the looks of it.

Whilst my loyalty is to VS it comes at a price

I been looking at PE flights in August to Orlando on specific dates for a while now

2 Adults and 3 Kids although two of these are classed at adults as they are over 12! – so never cheap
VS flights have been stubbornly pitched at £1,910.00 each in PE total for our part £9,117.00
With the sale they dropped to £1,600.00 for a couple of days but then back up to £1,910.00

I just feel that is too expensive and have never paid that amount

I have been looking at all options Virgin / BA / Norwegian / TUI and flying indirect

I think my patience has paid off but alas not with VS
I have picked up flights with BA direct LGW to Tampa, so just a quick drive up the I4 back to Orlando
Flying Club World outbound retuning PE for the total price £5,863 about £1,172 each.

I know it is on the old BA 777s but for a saving of £3,254.00 and Club World on one leg couldn’t justify VS.

Edit it seems the return flight will be on a refreshed 777 - https://www.headforpoints.com/2017/09/05/british-airways-boeing-777-10-across-economy/
