That's annoying, I know I have a US trip but it will be Dec 4 so will have to be PE. Hopefully I'll have another trip palnned soon that I could make sure of these. I presume that the are Z fares and as such not changable?

Yup - regular Z (but without the strict 42 day Advance Purchase).

Non-refundable, non-changeable. Upgradable to D/J for a fee + difference.

My word. Amazing isn't it how BA and Virgin come up with the same sale prices, it's almost like there's some price fixing going on, but I'm sure that would never happen. [V]

Hi jetwet1,

To be fair, a couple of years ago I saw US newspaper adverts offering Upper Class return from the US to London for $1200 return ( less than £800) and I have seen BA club world adverts for $2k return ( which is closer to the £1200 ex uk fares now being offered).

Wow - tremendous fares [y][y]
Now I just need my Mum's estate to settle really quickly - was rather hoping it'd all be done in time for the UC sale to come through [:I] Still, at least it's pay day on Fri 25th :D

Up for extending by a day or two, to camp out at Mondavi's place for a couple days?

(or, maybe a few more days, and I'll teach you to snowboard... :D[^])

Hi,

Hmmm.. sounds like it is almost time for a " Blue Martini" at SFO clubhouse.

I would go for the Creme de menthe myself [}:)]

That's a possibility - would need to check availability at work (currently off sick with a flu bug or something [:(])

(or, maybe a few more days, and I'll teach you to snowboard... :D[^])

Hmmmm.......I'll have to think about that one :D

I even have a spare board & boots. No s**t, it's called "Fat Bob" - made by K2 [:p]
AND it has a British flag on it...

If it helps (and I know it won't) - then we people on this side of the pond often feel aggrieved that we get bad deals on other stuff....
You see, I knew it wouldn't help....[:X]

Wow, they don't hang around long, do they? In the time it took me to get a provisional leave request approved, the Z bucket is empty on the SFO flights I wanted!

Oh well, I'll have to look at somewhere else for my mileage run... [:?]

What dates, Mike?

I had a "glitch" last night, where I tried booking the fare after posting the link & it showed no availability. I exited IE, went back again, and it was wide open. Weird.

Incidentally, the link to the offer from the homepage of va.com is now broken (goes back to itself, not to the offer) - it only works from the one at the top of this thread [:0][:?]

Was looking at this last night. Shame it only goes up to January as I would have booked something in the las Vegas direction for March. May hold on a bit before booking to see if anything else comes up as it's only around £3-500 more for UC over PE at those prices :)

UA have also hopped on the bandwagon - £1,226 to SF in Business during those dates.

(although it's not *quite* the same as VS/BA... [B)])
