G fare availability...

Are there G seats on every flight? And how far in advance do you need to book, to ensure you get the flight (and time) you want?

Hi Jim, not sure exactly how many G's there are per flight but what I can recommend is booking early, really early! Even for travel at the end of next September, returning mid October I did not get our first choice of dates when I booked a week ago. The people at FC are very helpful though and search availability on days either side of your preferred dates.

Yeah, the website seems to be straightforward to use though.. just plugging in different dates, and see what it churns out. Looking for NYC in spring 06, and availability on quite a few dates on a few choices of flight times.. all from LHR though. None from LGW.. presumably because they have less G seats, since they have a lot less UC seats to start with. (on the LGW 747s...)
