** Fluffed it - could someone move to General Discussion - Thanks ** {mcuth: tis done}

It's occured to me that in the absence of Airchabum, who used to provide an aircraft type listing, we are somewhat devoid of information on aircraft types flying which routes.
Whilst we can look at the 'Which Aircraft will I be on?' section this is only gives us historical so is not ideal just after schedule change or indeed if you are looking for a particular day of the week - maybe Pete can sort out some filters?
Anyway I thought that I would have a stab at putting together something in the same format as Airchabum's to identify which flights are which a/c type by day of week based on a/c movement trends since 30Oct05. These should be current till 26Mar06 but of course lacks the future information that Airchabum had access to. Of course trends will not take into account any changes that often occur over the Christmas / NY period and as new a/c enter service they may well change - I have tried to indicate what variations have occured (within winter schedule) beyond the one-offs and I will try to update if new trends appear as I monitor the ACARS data closely. Of course a/c types also change at short notice.
If you are actually booked on a flight you can also check the VS website for seat plans to identify your a/c type - probably with a little more accuracy.
Oh and don't blame me if you don't get the a/c type this implies - the process is not an exact science. Likewise if any VS insiders can refine this then please let me know. I will update as information becomes available.
a * means the a/c returns the following day eg a 346 LHR-PVG on Mo will operate PVG-LHR on Tu

I do have the schedules up to Oct next year, but getting them into the schedule tool isn't easy, so I've decided to save them for the V-Book ;)
