Spotted a static display of the new Lufthansa business class seats while going through Paddington yesterday, so thought you might like to see how remarkably similar they are to the old Virgin J2000 seat;

The daft thing is that the seat design -- like J2000 -- only really makes sense when you see it submarine under the row in front. Just a couple of seats is, well, a couple of seats. Of course, this wouldn't apply to a display of the UC Suites :).

Also looks very similar to Qatar Airways new J class seat and the new Qantas international J class seat - the Qantas ones do look more like a pod though as they are much more enclosed. It also seems Qantas like the idea of an on-board bar too as these are now been fitted across their fleet of 744's.

Did anyone ever find out the fate of the old VS J2000 seats [?]
