Not necessarily that new a concept, although the spin on the article is pretty negative.

I'm a member of Privium, which is a similar sort of programme for Schipol. When it comes to security controls at Schipol, I put my smart card into the machine, look into the eye scanner and stroll past the sometimes *very* long queues. Don't fly to AMS that often these days, but when I did it was certainly worth the annual fee.
