i'm just back from an overnight trip, since yesterday (28th) the heathrow express is being run using the heathrow connect carriages... no wifi, no first and with the shorter trains it gets pretty crowded
the connect service itself is suspended, not sure what happens to people who'd planned on using it when they arrive at the station with their luggage
/edit - on the HE website it says "pre-bought" HC tickets will be accepted on the service, also HE ticket pricing has been reduced
i just checked online, according to the bbc, a crack was found in an express carriage, so the fleet has been taken out of service for inspection...
