Hi
We stayed in a condominium directly on the beach in Indian Rocks (just south of Clearwater Beach) with our own patio outside from which we stepped down onto the sand.
Breakfast and a few evening meals outside watching people walking up the beach searching for sharks teeth, sand dollars and seashells, we found 5 sharks teeth ourselves.
In morning we saw a few Dolphins making their way north and in the evening going south again.
On the Gulf coast there is virtually no tide and a very gentle sea, so if sitting on the fine white sand you do not have to move all daya as you would on the Atlantic Coast where tide goes in and out with quite large waves at times.
Plenty of restaurants along the road from Clearwater Beach to St. Petes beach.
