Just received a letter this morning from Amex saying that if I activate FlexSelect on my charge card I'll receive 3000 MR points.

Reading the letter FlexSelect means that if I pay for something over £200, I don't have to pay it off all in one go - basically my charge card becomes a credit card with a high APR though!! (the lowest been 17.9%)

I have no intensions of using FlexSelect looking at the APR's but the 3000 MR points will do nicely!!!

Nice one - IIRC, FlexSelect is invitation-only

Yeah AMEX do make me laugh at times - the top of the letter said that 'I was one of their most valued customers'

I spend about £300 a year on my AMEX Gold card :D

I originally only applied for it to get the bonus 7000 Flying Club miles!!!

I've only had mine about 6 weeks, so even though I've chucked a load of spend on it, I doubt I'll get asked :D

Cheers

FlexSelect will not be appearing on Centurion accounts anytime soon.

And it looks like that the VS Card offer is on hold!

Thanks,
Richard

For anyone who, like me, is still waiting for their 3000 points to appear, a couple of calls to Membership Rewards has elicited the information that:

- a number of people are experiencing this problem
- they are waiting for information from the Marketing Department as to whether the points need to be added manually or if there is some trigger that will credit them to a number of people's accounts all at once.

After waiting and waiting for the points to appear they now appear to have done so four times over. At least 12,000 points have appeared in my account, and I can't think where else they'd have come from!
