martin halstead an oxfordshire resident just like richard branson is hoping to become the next richard branson. he's only 17 and i due to launch his own airline in september. (as the web-site now states) it's always been a dream of mine to own an airline and it's still possible as i'm only 15 now. he's had a major boost in funds from another investor and plans to start services using a 19 seater aircraft. good luck to him. does anyone have any more news on this and ideas of how i could set up a small airline of my own?

thanks for any help!

Edit - moved to other airlines.... Nick

He's been trying to do it for about a year. He actually took bookings for a while, I think (?) but cancelled the flights for the latest "injection" of cash...

Not sure I'm that confident in the venture, but hey - good luck to him.

By the way - direct web link here:

Whilst I wish hime well there have been too many dreamers in the airline business who come and go with alarming regularity.

SRB's dream has paid off over the last 21 years due to innovative products (UCS/Premuim etc) and good marketing.
