No mention of "Pimp Robes" though.
A pimp finds and manages clients for prostitutes and engages them in prostitution (in brothels in most cases and some cases street prostitution) in order to profit from their earnings.

To people of a certain age (AKA Me) it has the old fashioned down market meaning. I have been educated a little more recently, but nevertheless had a little disagreement on this point with a more up-to-date member a couple of years ago.
Ice Master 99 gates for me bro.
According the the Uncyclopedia "The Pimp" is a classic fictional character and literary archetype, created by William Shakespeare. Shakespeare names his character "Pimpolius", which can be translated as "the guardian of the flowers".
During Act III, the "i am goin to kill you" scene of "The Pimp of Florencia", Pimpolius is stabbed by one of the maidens he has been ordered to protect, and she steals his wallet. On dying, he proclaims his well known speech:
Oh, thou that hast hurt me
Oh, thou muddaf**ka bitch,
You, ho !
I cut ya face when I get up..
And he dies.
Pimpolius is buried with all his ceremonial clothes, and those include his cane, his fur coat, his high heeled shoes and his feathered hat. A sad disco tune plays during the funeral scene, and all the ho's bring the mudda to da grave.
