So, northerners and grease monkeys rule.

Now, I'm not going to ask about marmite (I'm with the Danish!).

I am a Northerner ans I certainly don't like ketchup and brown sauce. Horrible disgusting muck.

And as for marmite :$ :$ :$ :$ :$

Any supermarket :D :D .
I'm in the love marmite camp (but loathe ketchup and brown sauce :$ :$ ). Mr DL (another Northerner ) loves ketchup and brown sauce with Hammonds chop sauce being his alleged favourite (I've never seen a bottle of the stuff in 20+ years of knowing him ?| ), but detests marmite (he calls it poison :0 ) .

I've just been to Waitrose for the weekly shop, and I am distressed to learn that Waitrose does not stock Marmite crisps (even though I hate marmite, I was keen to try one) ... what do I do, I can't go to Tesco, no !

Fascinating ... won't tip my hand on this one, will definitely give it a try. I am curious which part of the balsamic concept they are rolling with here.

I dislike any sausage, but the family like them with Heinz tomato sauce and definitely butter, bacon can be tomato sauce or Daddies brown sauce. HP is yuck. I have tried other makes but all I get is complaints.
My son has cheese and Marmite sandwiches nearly every day for lunch.

When i went to cookery class at school, many years ago, 1970 ish. :| We had this very same conversation. Lightly spread a little butter on two thick slices of white soft bread, a splodge of any brown/red sauce of your choice on each slice, and halve three grilled sausages length ways across your bread, if you like at this point a fried egg can be added, then put the second slice of bread on top, and gentley press together and cut in half and serve. :w Then gobble at your leisure.

wow this must be one of the most popular threads. ^)

Could you imagine if we opened the discussion on bacon sandwiches....

Perhaps the next V-Flyer social could include sausage sandwiches! oo) ): :o)
