Katzenjammer are doing a show at the Brunton Theatre... on the 19th, so unless you're hanging around longer than the weekend, I guess it's not on the agenda this year.

However, they're going to be in London on September 11th at the Bloomsbury Theatre, so perhaps that's the one for a group do?

We're booked now - we are coming up to EDI on the train - 1st Class of course [:p].

We'll be arriving at 6pm into Waverely. We are on the same train as the Buns' on the way home, so leaving at 2pm.

2 1st tickets costing less than one flight with BA. Says it all.

Richard

Quite agree on the cost - especially when you include the costs of getting to and from the airport[:0]

Thanks for the show suggestions - I am begining to think a weekend is simply not long enough[:D][:D]

OK Thursday evening some of us are doing the tasting menu at Martin Wishaw. Table is currently booked for 21:00 so that those of us who want to do Lucy Porter first can do so.

Other guests are more than welcome - only caveat is the table has to do the tasting menu.

Just a quicky -- if any of you were planning to see either of the two shows I'm producing in Edinburgh (What's Wrong With Angry? @ 3.25pm and Boys of the Empire @ 8pm, both at C venues), then you'll need to get tickets quick. We're selling out already on Angry, and getting close on Empire. Apparently there was a fight in the Fringe box office yesterday over the last Angry ticket.... [;)]

Just a quick note, I have 2 spare rooms left in my block at the Balmoral for next weekend (Fri & Sat night) if anyone would like one before I cancel them. £130/night as opposed to the current £440/nt they are charging for those dates....

What are my chances of getting to Prestwick at 10:20am on the Sunday?

No worries - the buses run all night, just don't bother going to bed. [:D][;)]

Seriously, it would be great to see you if you can make it.

Honey Lamb,

You could get train back to glasgow queen street then train to prestwick.

Have a look at national rail enquries online to find out times of trains on the sunday morning as i think they do start early.

Top Edinburgh tips for the visiting v-flyer posse:
1 - bring an umbrella. A good one.
2 - bring a waterproof jacket, with a hood.
3 - wear waterproof shoes...

(..is there a theme here?!)

That theme was certainly running strong last year [:)]

Alas the first train on a Sunday doesn't get in to PIK until 10:13am [:#]

I know this MIGHT [:I] push you to the extremes but you can get a private hire to take you from Edinburgh to Prestwick for approx £90![B)][:0]

Journey takes around 1hour 10 min

Small compensation for the fact that they paint a target on your forehead in return for giving you the discount... [;)]
