Seen your update sig Mcuth, is the day/date now confirmed for Farnborough? And is it the same day as the Riverboat shuffle?

Is there any interest in doing a V-F social outing for one of the days? It may be worthwhile making an advance group booking if so. Who's up for it?

I dont know - all the top events this year clash with my wedding/honeymoon, 1st farnborough, then the riverboat event! And to think I planned the wedding date to avoid the world cup!!![}:)]

Don't worry, Jimmy. They're always planning events when I am not available. [:(!] D'you think they are trying to tell me something? [:w]

All

Jacq (Jacqueline Lewis) has eversokindly offered to host a V-Flyer BYOB BBQ/pissup on the day of the airshow for us all [y][y]

Firstly, wouldn't it now make more sense for us to go to the Saturday public day and have the pissup afterwards?

Secondly, it would also make sense to drop off booze at Jacq's house before the show and go up together from there. Apparently it's about 2.5 miles to the show from her house, so walking's out (yeah, cos I'd be doing that anyway :D) - perhaps we could car-share up there and leave any unused cars at Jacq's?

Numbers interested please....

Cheers

[:0][B)]

What have I done?! As long as you don't trash my new kitchen, I don't mind! But please feel free to fling empties onto my neighbour's conservatory - the miserable b******* don't even say hello! [V]

Got a volunteer to arrange some catering too and help me with the food...:D

Jacq, you really are a love .... but i need to check, you have read up on all the social trip reports havent you? You do know what you are letting yourself in for?

(I have an imagine in my head now of half a dozen drunk V-Flyers in the paddling ppol in the garden, complete with beers - or is that just my BBQs??)

Thanks,
Sarah

S'funny I was only looking a this thread the other day and wondering about getting myself down there - and as a caterer it would be rude not to give poor old Jacq a hand with the catering - I agree with you tho Sarah Im sure that both she and the residents of Farnborough are in for a quiet night if previously reported bashes are anything to go on.

So if you need a hand Jacq then Im your man!!!:D
