Just checking ( a very dangerous thing to do) prices to MRU in March next year. BA are 865GBP cheaper compared with VS for the 4 of us to travel in J. As much as I want to be loyal to VS I am very very tempted to go BA. That is a lot of extra spending money to have[:?]

Given the current climate I believe loyalty to your wallet comes above loyalty to an airline. There is nothing really wrong with BA Club World - esp if it is NGCW and given the saving you mentioned I know where I would use my debit card.

Enjoy your flight and hols whoever you choose to fly with.

No brainer thats a lotta wonga, off to BA with you[:p] seriously though just like HG says loyalty is only good if it benefits you but that really is too much to waste.

cheers

Even better checking out the hotel package for 14 nights with BA hols. 2 weeks HB, J Flight rtn, for just over what I paid for the 4 of us just to travel in UC to BGI this year (Flight only). As you have said a no brainer really.

All of the LHR 747s and 4 class 777s(inc the LGW Fleet)now have NGCW fitted. As MRU is from LHR make sure you pick a flight that is a 4 class service and it will be NGCW equipped. There are only 5x 777s,all 3 class LHR aircraft to be refitted, plus the 767s that aren't being updated.I have to say after being sat in NGCW for a long time a couple of weeks ago its excellent.A little wider than the old seat and very comfy bed down and brilliant for lounging in the Z position, the footrest is much improved.

Agree with the others - it would be BA. Saying that, even if the difference was only a tenner I'd go for BA at the moment. The BA Shareholder discount of 10% on all fares also helps!

Well after a couple of days pondering decided to take the plunge.
4 CW seats booked both ways all for under 5K. Sorry VS, you did not even come close on price.

A/C is indeed a 4 class config 747 so NGCW as well[y]

Flic en Flac in MRU here we come[8D]

I worked in MRU for a month and lived in Flic en Flac. It's an amazing place. If you've never been before make sure you go to Ile aux Cerf, Black River Gorges National Park, Grand Baie and Casela Nature Park.
Enjoy!

DocMark,

Thanks for the heads up on some places to visit. It is a bit away yet but even excited at going now. The more info the better. We have rented a villa for 2 weeks and will hire a car when we get there. Any advice for restaurants etc greatly appreciated.

Flic en Flac has a few oriental seafood places which are nice. mostly along the road that runs parallel to the beach. You MUST go to domaine anna - absolutely stunning restaurant with individual tables on little islands on a lake connected by wooden bridges. amazing food too. it's right by flic en flac but quite a way off the main road. all the taxi drivers know it.
driving can be quite an adventure, all tourist rented cars have yellow number plates so the locals aren't quite as gungho when they see you. if u want anymore advice just PM me
