I've been playing about with the BA website and although all you expert flyers probably know this... I discovered a flaw with their 'upgrade your flight' offer.

Dependent on the economy fare you have been offered, the 'upgrade your flight' offer can be more expensive than just selecting Business class from the very start.

So check both!

I would try and save the miles for CW as CE is not good value as compared to transatlantic upgrades.
Have you applied for the BA black amex and the 18k points offer yet?
That will give you fair lift if spending on CE.

cheers

I wasn't talking about miles - just basic fares... don't think I qualify for Amex Black!

They give the Black BA Amex premium plus to anyone if you pay the annual £150 fee:D
