In a couple of weeks time I'll be flying CW on a 777 from BDA-LGW. Does anyone have an experience of this and if so which seats would you recommend? I'm not too sure about sitting in the rear facing seats so would probably prefer a forward facing one. I've already checked seat guru, but a v-flyer opinion is always welcome[y]

If its the three class config (so no first class) then I just did a ANU-LGW flight last week in club world and the rear facing 11A was a superb seat. It is at the back of the cabin so there is no need to jump over the legs of the person in row B if you need aisle access.

Now if there are two of you flying its different (as Im sure you read on seat guru). It was the first time I've flown in the rear facing seats and its quite enjoyable, there is a nice feeling of reduced gravity in the legs on take off and once you get into the wine and movies, hey who cares.

Have a great flight.

I felt this way before I ever flew in a rear facing seat, but it in fact is quite an enjoyable experience! Plus on BA you will get a window seat if this is important to you.

Thanks guys. Looks like a thumbs up for the rear facing seats then.

If you want a window seat you have no choice but to be rear facing. I don't have a problem with it and as posted above 11a in a no first config gives you a seat that you don't have to climb over another's legs to get out

Thanks Paul. The BDA-LGW 777 is a four class config, hence row 15 is the last row in CW. I'm assuming then that 15a might be a good seat.

15A is a good seat but you cannot preassign it as its a cot position.Personally we always go for 10 J&K you get less traffic passing you on boarding and they usually serve from the front of the cabin, just means Mrs JP has to do the acrobatics getting into the aisle:D.15 E&F are also a good pair if you aren't bothered about a window very private with easy access, but again no preassigning as 15E is also a cot.I really don't like the 777 seating lay-out in either WT+ or CW all the best 2 seat combos are blocked by the cots.

Thanks for the info JP [y] I will try for the seats you have suggested if they are still available. Due to my current lowly status with BA (Blue Exec) I am not able to pre assign seats and will have to wait until I do the on-line check in 24 hours before!

Are you sure 15a is a cot position? I don't know for sure but 11a on the 3 cabin was not a cot position, only 11 e&f were.

On the 4 class 777 the cots are located at 15A,E&K just had the seat map up for an upcoming trip.Never been on a 3 class 777 so have not a clue about the layout.
Does anyone know if you can get a cot seat at the online check-in stage?
