This is the first class side of the BA/QF lounge at HKG but the J side is just the same rather crowded and hot.The CX Wing is a short walk away
just plonk yourself down at the longbar and knock back a few glasses of Lanson

JP

Is that the one that's just after security? I remember using that one several years ago now as a Qantas Club member.

Is was OK but nothing special and as you mentioned, quite busy. I didnt go in the F lounge section though.

Oh can the Cathay Business class lounge be used by J class BA?

Its a bit further from the security point than the CX wing, but only a couple of minutes walk(make that a few minutes walk thinking back) one level directly above the BA gate. The J lounge looks exactly the same as the F lounge, we stuck it for about half a can of warm Fosters before heading to the wing:D

Yep under oneworld rules with a BA CW ticket you can use the J side of the Wing (or Pier for that matter but it's a long walk/train ride from the BA gate;))You can only get in the First class side with a OW F ticket or OW emerald status. Not really a problem as they are both identical and the long bar is in the J side of the Wing.We sat at it thinking we were in the F side the service was so good.

Hello all,

I'm heading over to TPE via HKG next month with BA & BR. The HKG/TPE/HKG flights are with Eva business which I believe grants me access to the Clubhouse in HKG :). On the return trip I'm flying BA First from Hong Kong. Which lounges do I have access too and which should I visit? Reading various posts I'm confused between the wing and the pier, etc.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

On the BA return you can use the BA/QF lounge but head for the CX Wing near immigration it is only a few minutes from the BA gate usually 16ish.Not sure of the gates EVA use but if they are high numbered you could pop into the Pier for a look on your arrival,They will also issue your BPs for the BA flight no problem. Its a long walk between the Wing and Pier probably took us over 30 minutes not hanging about. They are similarly decorated, the Wing being larger as it's all one lounge split into F and J sides The Pier is 2 separate lounges, F entrance is adjacent to gate 63, J gate 65.Just take the escalator down.

Was in the HKG BA Business lounge in Dec 06. Its situated just above the departure gates which BA uses and to one side. Has a huge window
overlooking all the airport which was quite good to see the 747
towed from the remote stand to the terminal and preped for the flight.

The lounge has internet access and food and drinks etc. If you fly First then there is a door leading into the restarant bit where you
can get meals made to order etc

have fun :D

Really appreciate the information, I have around four and a half hours in HKG - i'll use the time wisely to explore all that's on offer.
