Anyone any experience of getting compensation in miles from BA ?

Keeping it short.... on my flight back from SEA on Friday in Club World the crew were unable to dim the cabin lights on the upper deck, hence the overnight flight was done with all the lights full on. I hate wearing eyeshades so as a result was unable to settle for a decent sleep.

Have written a short polite letter to BA .... just wondered what the standard offer in miles is likely to be [}:)]

Cheers

I have yet to be offered miles for any complaint - but then mine are always about baggage delays so I suspect they take the view that it's not their fault.

I've had miles from BA once - it took about 4 emails going back and forth to BA customer relations. I think in the end they just caved in and offered me 3K miles to stop me from pestering them any more.

It was due to a delayed BA domestic flight 2 years ago.

I'm still waiting for them to respond to my survey, and comments card from my flight on Christmas Day - both were ticked with 'Please contact me'.

Thanks,
Richard

I submitted a complaint by email on BA.com after a trip in August. This regarded bad cabin service on a LHR-HKG in F.I was contacted by phone within 48 hours by a CS rep who credited Mrs JP and I 20k miles each.

I'm still waiting for them to respond to my survey

Don't hold your breath I have never been contacted after filling in countless numbers of those pointless surveys.I refuse them now, there should at least be a few miles for completing it.I witnessed recently a rather naughty cabin crew filling them in, as they were a superb crew I found it quite amusing.

10k miles seems standard, I have Silver status and have got that twice (I fly with BA once a week - not a serial complainer)

I complained because in flight entertainment wasn't working in WT+, and noticed that on way back passengers in our seats still had same problem one week later, also staff on flight were surly, really not impressed, anyway they gave me 10,000 miles and a £25 gift voucher for my son to spend on board next flight, trouble is was so cheesed off with them haven't flown with BA since. Got this just after one letter, guess it depends on who opens your letter/email and what mood they're in.

Just to update this........

A colleague on the same flight (who is BA Gold) received a 20,000 mile apology ! ...... I pointed this out to BA EC asking the question as to whether Golds received bigger apologies than Silvers ;)..... had a telephone call within 24 hours letting me know that the extra 10k miles had been added to my account :)

Cheers
