BA evacuates jet in fumes scare

Well I have to hand it to the WSJ, an accurate account of what happened, other reports had the aircraft aborting a take off, on taxi ways etc, the aircraft had just pushed back and was approx 30-40 ft from the jetway.

I have just watched the passenger shot video on the BBC website - odd how many of the evacuees have hand baggage with them - I thought that was the first rule about emergency evacuation!

I was just reading that it was the pax that started opening the doors.
