Been looking to book a flight to MRU and use some of my hard earned Tesco BA miles. 8D

AIUI I can upgrade one leg of W to J for 12500 miles? When I look at the 'book and upgrade using miles' link on the BA site, it only lets me book e.g. a W return and then I can upgrade one or both of the legs.

However, I wanted to book W outbound (then upgrade) and Y inbound. Anybody know if that is possible? If it is, then maybe it can be done over the phone? Or booking the flight and then MFU later?

Thanks!

Sorry can't help but eagerly await answers, and the BA page starting to get more VS type solutions to miles use...

Good luck

Things have moved on a little since I asked the question!

The short version is that according to this thread on FT and having spoken to BAEC this morning, it is possible:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british- ... ons-2.html

However, as we are going in 3 weeks, there is only one J reward seat left and the tickets are nearly as much as just booking J return with MK. Think we are going to end up flying with EK via DXB from MAN and will enjoy the 388 that way too.
