Missing Postings

I did my first trip report on Saturday night and had 3 replies to it (thankyou) I also Checked to subscribe to the topic to view any other replies.

In my Outlook express inbox today it shows me having had 5 replies between 09:03 and 09:48 but when I went to look at the revies there aren't posted, the last one being last night at 22:04.

Wondered if there was a problem or had I upset someone.[:?]

Also for some reason the smilies seem to be a little on the large side and not quite as they should look, don't think it's my setings.

Hi Paul,

You're not missing any posts - there seems to be a glitch in the subscription code that informs you of more replies than there actually are.

As for the smilies, yes - on some systems I've noticed they're a little odd. When using my Mac (Safari), I get some very weird icons indeed!


I think both require that Pete (unfortunately) to have to look at for a while...

There's a problem with subscribing to topics at the moment - don't trust it. The smiles look a bit stange to me too.[:#]

The smilies looking large is probably because you've still got the older ones in your cache. If you go to the reply page for any topic, and before submitting a reply, force a refresh (can't remember how you do it on Windows, but it may be holding down the ctrl or Alt key while hitting the refresh button), that should load the new icons at the correct size.

As for the subs, hell I have no idea why that's started screwing up - but I think it's something to do with an index issue on the new SQL server - but try as I might, I can't figure out why [:I]

Well, talking of missing postings, I noticed a post I made at about 9:45 PM EST in this thread was oddly not there this morning, without any PM of why it was removed. I am assuming it was due to a technical error...[:?]

I am sure that, if a mod had deleted it, you would have got a PM. Don't forget though, if it was moved to the Clubhouse, you wouldn't be able to see it.
