SO after a rather long flight from Las Vegas to JFK I was left sitting in terminal 2 at 10am,beat to death but still looking foward to my first trip on Maxjet and the fun that was to be had at the RBS.

A quick call to Maxjet only to find out that the flight was delayed two hours and that checkin would not open up till 3.30pm [:#].

I tried to get the terminal Wifi working, but after about an hr of hitting my head against tthe wall I gave up and figured I needed some lunch.

A quick call to a friend in NYC and im off for lunch, sorry Chuck I didn't see that you had switch your flight to JFK or you guys would have been invited as well [B)].

As I stroll out of terminal 1 I see somebody at the Maxjet counter, walk over and ask what time check-in is opening,he tells me 1.30pm [y],I tell him that the phone people are saying 3.30pm and he says they are wrong and points to his manager badge,so things are looking up.

Quick lunch and back to JFK.

1.30 comes around and I am #1 to check-in,security does it's normalluggage question's,I guess Decker and I were having a meeting of the minds thing because I came up with the 'well lets see,TSA has had them and Delta' responce, the lady had a confused look on her face [y] but then let me pass.

The check-in was quick and very personable,I did have to ask one quick question to the lady though.

'This has got to be the best check-in agent gig here'

'why?' she responded

'Nobody hounding you for upgrades'

She laughed at this, which was nice to see.

Ok off to the Korean Air lounge, fast track was closed but only a few people in line so no real problems.

The lounge is nice, nothing like the clubhouse but still a nice lounge.

A few finger foods and a pot of coffee later and im feeling alomost human again.Hooked the laptop into a wired connection and jumped on line for a while.

A quick shower and more coffee (they have the smallest cups in the world in that lounge) and it's time to head to the gate.

End up being one of the first on board.First impressions are good, the cabin look's a lot less bright than in the pictures I had seen link.Get myself settled in and wait....and wait...and wait.

The person sitting next to me arrives, dumps his stuff in the seat and takes over the seat to his left, then jumps up and starts again,I cant put my thoughts about him on here, but something tell's me he was suffering from ADD.

Anyways, the fa's came around with bubbly etc and the Capt. came on to give us a run down of the route etc.

Long push back but quickly to the runway and only #2 in line for take off [y] (on flight back to LAS we were #30 in line, took over 2 hrs [:0]) soon into the air,QC2's doing their best to block all the engine sounds etc, they do work rather well.

By now I was starting to feel beat,I had been up for close to 36 hrsa with only a little nap on the LAS-JFK leg so I was praying that dinner would be quick.

A quick beverage round then dinner service started.

Menu.

Salad with either a roasted red pepper vinaigrette or fat free balsamic.

entree's

New York strip steak
Wok seasame chicken breat
Pan seared Halibut

dessert

cheese board or Tiramisu.

The steak was good, not as good as CO's but still not to bad.

Of course I was about to compain that the was no bangers and mash being offered [:p] but I kind of got the feeling that just maybe the crew would come up with a plate full.

I passed out before dessert so cannot comment.

The seat itself is not a layflat,Maxjet says it goes to 160,but for whatever reason on both my flights it seemed to be going to 180 and acting like a J2000 [?] anyways im not going to complain.

Somewhere just over the coast of the UK I woke up,I guess one of the FA's saw this and by the time I was sitting up he appeared holding a large mug of coffee [y].Breakfast had allready been served but I asked anyways,1 minute later I had a blueberry muffin and an omelet sitting in front of me [y].

Landing was smooth quickly to the gate.

Passort control took all of 2 mins, grab the bags and out to the train station to get to London.15 mins top gate to platform [y].

My thoughts.

Though I didn't get a chance to really take advantage of it on this flight from talking to a family while waiting for the bags to come out the service was great, the FA's walking the aisles with water and juice throughout the flight and pretty much there if you needed anything.

The seat while in no way shape or form up to the standards of the UCS was comfortable enough for a 7 hr flight.

If you can deal with the fact that STN is in the middle of nowhere then at least to me it is better than LHR,at least for getting your baggage and getting out.

All in all a great flight.

For the price $700 inc taxes it could not be beat.
