This was my first flight with ryanair and i didnt know what to expect.Flying to faro,for a week with my family. we stayed at the clarion airport hotel the night before which would most certianly recommend. good start to the morning as we got up at 7 am checked out andwas ready to go by 7:30. good shuttle service by the hotel to the airport. Dropped off at the terminal. Check in was shocking really[:0], there is no real order at the desks of ryanair. we were told by 2 different airport staff that we were in the wrong queue which was confusing[?]. apart from this the checkin staff were friendly. once we got through the security which was extremely good and very fast.(BAA should take note.) we decided to have some breakfast which the cafe overlooked the passengers checking in this was very good. our flight was on the screen so we decided to take a stroll to the gate. when we got there it was more like a bus terminal and was very airy but packed with people. walked across the tarmac to the plane which had a painting with something to do with munster rugby team on the nose of the a/c. the plane has suprisingly good leg room which was suprising. the cabin crew did the usual saftey briefings getting it wrong [:0]. the person on the intercom said exits are at the front and the stewardess pointed to the rear of the aircraft which was embarassing for her.
there was a crying baby on board and i thought oh dear its on of those flights[:#]
flight time was to be around 3hrs 20 due to some stormy weather over spain. takeoff and climb was very smooth, got my walkman out when i could and just sat there litening to my music until we were asked to put all electronic equiptment away. i got slightly annoyed with one cabin member as she asked me to take of my noise cancelling headphones . ive never had any problem with it before and i asked why. he said that all equiptment should be turned off.[:(!.
i decided i didnt want to argue. the approach and landing was very good. when we got off the plane past passport control which took about 15 mins ou luggage was already there. i thought fantastic serve by the baggage guys[oo]. through customs with no one there and we were on our way to sunny faro.
