First time from Blackpool for a while and the new larger lounge area is much better. Priority boarding can be paid for and worked on this leg and at Stanstead. I didn`t pay for it and at Treviso airport, the priority boarding only got the people on the bus first. This by default meant they were last off the bus so didn`t get on the plane first. I was able to get emergency exit seats on the Stanstead to Trieste and Treviso to Liverpool legs, otherwise standard seats are very cramped if you are above 6 feet tall. There is also no seat recline. All flights were exactly on time but Ryanair must be the only airline to train their pilots to carry out heavy landings. It is the only airline that I fly that consistently thumps down on to the runway. I don`t know if they are trying to save time or someone at head office has shares in a landing gear manufacturing company.
Cabin crew were very friendly on all flights. The colour scheme of blue and yellow plastic for the cabin is awfull though. Why do Easyjet and Ryanair have to go for such loud interiors? When I closed my eyes, I swear I could still see the image of the seats.
Trieste had a very pleasant and sunny 72 Degrees F so we were able to sample a few of the outdoor cafes in between work. I would recommend a weekend/few days here if you enjoy typical Italian life. There are also impressive buildings, restaurants, Roman ruins and beautiful coastal scenery. The first two weeks of October has the largest boat race in the Med.and starts at Trieste Harbour. Croatia is just around the corner as well and we were told that the coast goes rocky but is equaly as nice as the Trieste area.
