We were checked in 3 hours before the flight which was in retrospect daft, and dafter still was that we went straight through to departures instead of going to the Sticky Wicket or the Big Bannana.
Even the security agent checked we knew what time our flight was and was surprised when we still wanted to go through!
The check-in agent was a little on the blunt side, but not rude.
Once in Departures we sat, and waited, then waited a bit more, and occupied ourselves by people watching and listening to the Sarah Palin situation on CNN. Luckily being a friday we could watch Hot Lips being prepared for her return to LGW, blissfully unaware of waht would happen the following Friday! There was also a BMI A330 on the tarmac bound for MAN.
Eventually the departure time for our LIAT flight came, and in true LIAT style, went! We were boarded 30 minutes late which based on past experience is actually quite punctual for LIAT.
The plane - A Dash300 or something like that got us from a to b. But thats about all I can say. It rattled and shook its way over to St. Lucia Vigie Airport. There was no inflight entertainment. Although, the stewardess (there was only one) did seem to have the most bizare accent which kept me amused for a while.
On arrival in SLU, the bags came off relatively quickly. Or rather quicker than at Heathrow.
Overall, dissapointing - but in the Caribbean is there any other choice?!
