Meals were pay as you go and the 6 curry was very tasty although possibly not hot(spicy) enough for some. Outbound approach into Paphos was very Kai Tak which I am not sure is usual, but we arrived safely. I had emailed our hotel only two days before looking for a cheeky upgrade only to be told that the hotel was not open and 'who had we made reservations with?' I contacted our travel agent (who was excellent and gave good prices - PM me for details)and she sorted a new (better)hotel within 3 hours with usual appologies etc.
We found Cypus to be very good at this time of year with good restaurants, although Paphos was tacky. Inland/Troodos mountains were superb with spring flowers and cherry blossom covering the valleys and slopes. Snow was still evident in the higher reaches but 70s at the coast.
7 St. Georges Tavern gave an exceptional mezze using all organic produce where they bring dish after dish until you tell them to stop. We had at least 12 courses and 3 litres of wine for 100 euros (4 people). Family run and very friendly. In my opinion,Cyprus is worth a visit for a winter break.
