The circular shaped LH business lounge I was in initially reminded me of something youd find on the M6 rather than in an airport but after a while I settled in in front of the multi TVs with a tipple or two.

The usual offerings of drinks and snacks were available with the added local feature of Frankfurters accompanied by potato salad.

Thanks to Mikes advice about Shengens and non-Shengens I left a bit ahead of time and went through border control then security. It took no time at all and I got to gate B9 about 15 mins before boarding. There were only about 30 passengers on my LOT380 to Warsaw and again it was a bus job to the plane which was SP-LIE, an Embraer E-175 and a first for me on this type.

I was in 1A and the only person in biz class. The E-Jet is a nice aircraft with soft leather seats and was very quiet where I was sitting.

Drinks round was followed by a cold meal of raw fish and a kind of meat loaf thing. I certainly wouldnt choose this on a menu but was quite hungry so scoffed the lot!

I had another 2 or 3 GnTs then we were into Warsaw ahead of schedule and I was out and looking for my pre booked hotel car by 2240 (the booked arrival time). No sign of the car so I hopped into a regular cab and noted it was half the price 42PLN vice the 80PLN the hotel had quoted.

Got to hotel check in about 15 mins later and moaned about the car but was quickly sweetened up by an upgrade to a corner suite with free mini bar, movie etc etc which is why Im so keen to maintain the RA status.

The hotel was very very quiet as when I nipped down to the bar for a nightcap there was not a soul in it.

Regards

John

Very nice - I notice that fish was included as the meal.
I think I have mentioned before that I find the inclusion of fish as a meal a bit odd - was there a choice?
Should I be considering a No Fish meal request? I can barely touch it.

The tray was just plopped down in front of me and I think it's a kind of take it or leave it scenario!
