After the short stay in Mallorca (work-related, honest), it was time to head home. There were three of us on the return journey, although we all managed to check-in at the Club Europe desk. Unfortunately the woman at the desk, didn't really understand what we were asking about when it came to on the day upgrades. Once the bags had disappeared, headed up to security (relatively quick) and then onto the lounge. This is a shared one - nothing that special really. Managed to get two in on the silver card and one on a priority pass (not charged as computer not working). Rested for a short while, then time to wander and grab some food. En route, I picked up a couple of bottles of AN/2 red wine - it is locally prodcued in Mallorca, and whilst it was 16 Euro a bottle, it is really nice stuff! We had burgers from a Henry J Beam fast food take away place, and then wandered back to the lounge. The 2200 departure was called at 2105 - no-one moved. Eventually wandered down around 2130 - it was a lot further than we thought. Got there to an empty gate and everyone boarded. Settled into 14C - flight was relatively full.

Take-off on time, with a flight time of 2 hrs 5 mins. After take-off, it was drinks and bird sead to nibble on! Asked for vodka diet coke - given but no ice. When I asked, was told 'we don't have any ice down here!' Luckily the diet coke was fairly chilled, so not too bad (I bet that they had ice in Club!). Flight passed relatively uneventfully, did some work and read a book, and then it was landing time at LGW. Bags took a while to come off, and then it was through security and time to find our waiting driver (pre-booked cab).....home in East London within 1.5hrs of landing - not too bad!
