You are right, Will. I would like to go back to South America and I am realistically only looking at BA. I am surprised there are not more carriers servicing that area, though given how packed the IB flights were, perhaps this is an instance where cheap wins.

Yeh they do (or maybe its GRU), they got them when TAM started flying into London.

Yeh AF/KL and Oneworld are making a killing. VS could do easily, South America flights are hardly cheap (when compared to some of the 'bargains' to the Far East for example). IB do seem to be the cheapest, IMHO its calling out for a South American carrier to start an EK style operation.
