Anyway we stopped at LGW the night before as the flight was 09:10 in the morning. For some reason the BA iPhone app had the right flight details but the wrong travel time - no idea why but as we had to check-in luggage, I also grabbed an old fashioned boarding pass just in case. Through a very busy security - fast track wasn't really working. A little bit of shopping and then the lounge. It was fairly busy, but only one floor these days (the new No 1 Lounge underneath looks very cool!). Some breakfast - no alcohol for me as it was too early, but that didn't stop a lot of people in there!
The flight came up for boarding - although it wasn't actually really boarding when we got there. Settled into 2A for the short flight down to Croatia. As it was LGW, just a short taxi before we up and heading off. As this was a morning flight, it was breakfast - very tasty.
During the short flight the purser came round with poured water for everyone and then not long before landing he came round with a glass of champagne for those who wanted it. A very nice couple of touches indeed!!
The view on the way into landing was really impressive - a great view of the old city of Dubrovnik from 2A, along with the islands along the coasts.
We seemed to take ages to stop on landing and then it was a short taxi to the gate.....this was one where you got off the plane, walked a short distance, up some steps and into the terminal building. As Croatia is not in the EU, you get a stamp - unusual after a short-haul flight!! Luggage took a little while and then it was an interesting taxi ride along the coastal road into Dubrovnik.
Again another great BA purser - what is going on???
