so this trip really could be titled planes, trains and automobiles..............

leaving EWR at 11.30 my target was Penn Station by 1.30 or face a 90 minute 'stopover'. which at that time of the morning can be 'interesting' to say the least.

I headed down to the Airtrain to be told 'it aint runnin honey, get the bus' which I did arriving at Newark station at 12.01
and caught the
12.05 train to Penn, which arrived at
12.35 buy ticket to Jamaica and onto the
12.37 train arriving Jamaica around
1.00 and onto the Air train almost immediatley arriving at T5
1.15

so a journey which last time took over 3 hours had in effect only taken an hour and 3/4.
so arriving at T5 with 5 hours to spare I was expecting it to be deserted.
nah, lights blazing (global what??) , the few straggling PAX waiting for the early mornings were treated to disco music blaring out of the PA system . honest T5 was more like studio 54 :D ....I was almost tempted to start my own flash mob i)

sleep being almost impossible and with no food on offer the time dragged through until 3.30 when once again JFK came alive (being half dead for all of 2 hours) needless to say clearing security didnt take long and around 4.00 the shops opened and a very welcome brekkie of waffles and maple syrup, sausage and homefries went down a storm.

eventually 6am arrived and we boarded the flight down to RSW. luckily it was fairly empty and I had a row of 3 to myself.
now I am one of Jbs biggest fans but sadly this trip report goes
took off
fell asleep
woke up
landed

and I was back home in the sun ready to be picked up and head home ...except after travelling for some 23 hours Mrs FB couldnt even make a 60 minute trip on time and turned up 20 minutes late !!!!!!not to worry by mid day i was in the pool enjoying 90 degrees and some rest y)

Now thats my kind of flight, with all that sleep :D I would like to state, not for the first time, that I am very jealous of the 90 heat and pool ^) ^)
