JQ279 AKL-ZQN 16 SEP 13 (ECONOMY)

Jetstar were our chosen carrier for the domestic flights between AKL and ZQN as they were half the price of Air NZ.

Due to patchy internet at the Beach house in Omaha I only managed SEQ15 Jetstars website allows OLCI at T minus 48hrs.

Mrs H and I arrived at 0600 for our 0700 departure and went straight to baggage check, done in next to no time.
This gave us time for a coffee before heading through security to a very small gate room, boarding began at 0635 through both the fore and aft doors which worked well, overhead storage was limited due to the vast number of people with a suitcase and a back pack as hand luggage.

The flight was one hour and forty five minutes, with pushback takeoff and landing all on time. There was no IFE and limited drinks and snacks were available for a charge.

I would easily recommend Jetstar for a quick no frills domestic flight.

I took an ANZ internal flight which I managed to book through the NZ site for a big saving.

Will try to remember about Jetstar if/when I get back to NZ.

Ahh suitcase and backpack... damn gap year types..
