Firstly the flight time was 9 hours 50 mins, wtf I've never done a west bound in that time before normaly 10 1/2 - 11 hours

So the rep. you've all been waiting for posted in Southern California(here for one more week).
Roll call then, Mr & Mrs VSKY, master VSKY sen, master VSKY jnr & Miss VSKY (she's 2).
As you can imagine the virgo in me planned this trip to military standards and timing. ANZ 1 schedualed to leave LHR 1615 so with an hour without traffic issues ahead of us we left at 1000 on the dot. As a family we travel to LAX at least once a year to visit my outlaws and have been doing so for at least ten years although the number of sprogs we take feels like it increases every year. Due to cost we opted for ANZ this year some $800 cheaper so sorry Virgin must do better, however it gave us the opportunity to trial this service & grab the miles .

This is the first year we have taken our car and parked it, I booked in with q park on the bath road a week ain advance on line. We found the car park with no trouble, very slick opperation and within 15 mins were on our way to T3. Whilst out in California I was hoping to conclude a head hunt for my company and for the first time took my mobile with me, it was during transit to the terminal i realised I had left it in the car, so dropped wife 3 kids off and went back to the car park. When I returned I expected the other half to be in a Q with the kids running riot, how wrong I was first big [y] to ANZ they could see my wife struggling and checked her in through the Business class lane which was empty, they were all waiting for me and embarasingly staff and all, cheered when I arrived. Fantastic check in very proffesional. We then went through security fairly quickly and proceeded to shop. An hour later we found a seat for 5 in Oneils and had a reasonable lunch surrounded by groups of annoying Americans watching the Golf but not eating or drinking[n] Before long our flight was called, I had three stellas so was fairly relaxed at this point and at 1530 we headed towards our gate.

Within minutes we got our first look at our home for the rest of the day and I have to say she looked magnificent. We were allowed to board almost straight away as we had kids and on stepping abroad we were given a Royal Welcome from the staff with the kids getting play kits and us getting newspapers and mags. Our seats were at the back of the craft and one of the crew took us down there himself, helped pack the buggy in one of the overheads, I was amazed at this normaly it's quick 'down there on the right' second [y] to ANZ. So as the plane filled up (it was full) we rapidly approached our TO time and that rapidly passed, the Captain made several announcements advising us that there was alot of congestion at LHW that afternoon. 3rd [y] ANZ they came through the cabin with cold drinks for everyone. We finaly got Airbourne at arround 1808 with an ETA of 1940 PST.

So the flight itself crew superb, plenty of them very attentitive and a great uniform, IFE system brilliant again, food 4th [y] much better than VS two hot meals I had Roast Lamb and vegtable with a choc mouse for pud plus the cheese bix and a choice of 5 red wins to choose from[:?] The flight itself was smoove all the way over one thing that puzzeled me was our trip took us quite a bit inland over Greenland, normaly on VS we seem to just nudge the southern part but we were well over Greenland this time.

So at around 1945 we landed, spent 1 hour qing to get into the states by which time all the baggage was through and was waiting for us.

In summary one of the best flights i've had to LAX quick as well, ANZ were superb and on the basis of my experince will defo use them again[y]
