Return leg after w/e in Sydney.

Very enjoyable w/e only slightly marred by the fact that it rained for two of the three days!

Had no facilities to check in online, and as we were bring a bag back for my parents, on arrival at airport proceeded to Check In desk and there was no queue - although there was a faily sizeable one for Bag Drop. Photo ID requested and were quickly checked in and through security. I still find it odd that when checking in online or using the self check in kiosks no ID is asked for.

The DJ domestic terminal is nearing completion of an overhaul and is very smart. With a large food court overlooking the main runway - so for plane buffs is a nice place to sit.

Went round to the gate at 2025 and borading began at 2030. This time boarding was to be via both the jetway and rear steps
- and was annouced that rows 1 to 15 should board via the jetway and those in 15 to 30 via the rear steps. We were in 11 A& B and so boarded via the jetway.

However I was surpised at the numbers of people who decided to board via the rear stairs, I can only assume because they didn't bother to listen to the announcements or read the big signs stating which way to go [V], and then push their way up the aisle against the flow to get to seats in front of us - and have the cheek to snarl at those who followed the instructions - who for some reason obedienlty moved out of their way.

Pushed back on time and after safety procedures during which should life vests be required please put on one of the 'trendy' yellow vest as being modelled.

Another non-eventful flight and we landed 10 minutes early. Although as it was a clear night managed to get a glimpse of the huge bush fires devastating the north east of Victoria.

Once again no announcements from the flight deck.
