Ok after having a great time in SFO it was time for a change, so made use of the airport van ($15) door to door[y]! Going back a bit I tried to use OLCI the night before but as feared (same problem with my VS flight a few days earlier) was unable to do so[:#]. Deciding that I may be in for extra security/hindrance I arrived at the airport about 2.5 hours early. Headed for the First Class check in which was free[y], passport whisked away again and about 10 mins later returned with Ok your legal, I elected to beg the question to which by now I knew the answer. Is there a problem with my passport yes sir youve got the same name as one of the bad guys! Oh I see[B)]. It didnt end there but in short I had it confirmed that I was now on the watch list. Made my way up to security expecting the worst and was surprised when I sailed through using the priority lane with no one in front (Apart from the previous PAX who had left a distinct food odour which had the TSA staff running around spraying the carpets)[}:)] a good distraction me thinks!!
No lounge here so just spent the next 2 hours walking the corridors, boarding was smooth and by the numbers First Class called forward etc. First was full and Y looked pretty busy, offered a pre flight drink (apple juice), V2 at about 1250 so only 5 mins late. Unremarkable flight, FA was mature and chatty offered a couple more drinks and snack rounds.
Disembarked and made the long walk to the luggage hall, waited at the carousel for about 20 mins nothing was happening, decided to go and sort out the hire-car and come back, still no bags, 20 mins later bag and owner reunited!!
