Easy check-in at Barcelona, since unable to do so on line again. Five desks open, with no-one waiting! Wish it was always like that!![;)]
Little wander around the terminal once we had got through security. The liquids thing there is very confusing, and I still have no idea what the rules are in Spain. Headed to the Iberia lounge, which makes the Terraces lounge at Gatwick look really good. However it is a lot better since there instilled an isolated smoking area. It was better than the gate area which was really hot and stuffy. We were about 40 minutes late leaving, for which the pilot took full responsibility as 'he had bought the inbound flight in late!'
Club only had 3 booked passengers, and 2 friends of the crew got moved up. As it was less busy and an evening flight, post-take off drink and pretzels, before the choice of chicken and couscous salad or veggie pasta both served with chocolate orange desert and cheese. The chocolate desert was REALLY very good!![:)] Very good purser looking after the club europe cabin - several glasses of champagne during the flight and then a little pressie of some more to take off with us!![8D]
Flight was very quick, although it was a long walk from the gate at LGW and then it took a further 45 minutes for the luggage to arrive, which had been very nicely washed for us by leaving it out in the pouring rain!
All in all a good flight, although BA really could do something about their baggage delivery afterwards. On both the outbound and inbound flights, the priority tagging either wasn't used (outbound) or made no effect on the bags coming off first (inbound). At least VS usually manage to get that right![;)]
