A little weekend jaunt to Brisbane to catch up with an old friend.

Used the OLCI the day before and polled up at airport at 0720 slight queue for security and off to gate. I was surprised to find the airport very busy for this time on a Saturday morning in fact just like a midweek morning. However there was just enough time for a seat change request and luckily given the exit row 14E&F, and to have a cuppa before boarding. Luckily our gate was in the smaller and therefore quieter section of the terminal. Boarding soon commenced and picked up the IFE headsets at the gate door and onto the 738.

Took off slightly late due to the luggage loading taking longer due to the rain I would have thought it would be quicker in the rain so the guys would spend less time outside. IFE turned on but I elected to listen to the radio channels and was slightly disappointed to find the same programming I had on the last flight back in June. Although I do like the fact you can listen to these channels right up to the gate on arrival.

A breakfast of an egg and bacon muffin, gourmet yoghurt, an orange, bottle of water and tea and coffee. We were hungry so demolished it all. Good views of the Gold Coast as we approached Brisbane. Landed on time at 1010 into a sunny 21 degsC.

All in all a good flight. The only thing letting QF down is the CC who tend to be more mature and have matter of fact approach to service. Not unfriendly but just do what is required of them. But at the date of booking they were significantly cheaper than DJ.
