I got to CPT airport at about 6am for the 8.15 flight. and returned the rental car.
Check in again was nice and quick and i was given seat 29C.
Went to the dep lounge and just sat and waited for the flight.
Terminal building is nice and modern. Boarded late due to the late arrival of the inbound aircraft from LHR. We boarded the 744 G-BNLB from gate A3 or A4. Once on-board i realised how little room there was after my flight in WT+. Luckily, the fa noticed i wasn't looking very happy in my seat and moved me to an empty row of 4 seats in the middle [y]

Take off was on the Northerly runway 01. It was a very turbulent flight as there were lots of storms over Africa. Climbed to FL290 and gradually made it up to FL380 as we got lighter. They served breakfast soon after take off and then we had 9 hours to rest. I slept for a few hours and it was actually more comfortable then wt+ as i had the 4 seats to lie on which felt like a 1st class bed! Flight time back was 11 Hours.

I woke up and watched 4 weddings and a funeral and another film called run fat man run! Dinner was a really nice beef stew which was served about 2 hours before landing. We made our approach to LHR over Kent and we had to hold at Biggin hill due to heavy arrival traffic. We only had to hold for 10 mins then made the arrival flying over south London, turning onto finals near Windsor castle to land Rwy 09L at LHR. We had to wait at Heathrow for 20 mins for a stand at T4. Was met at LHR by Vegascrazy which was nice. Thanks James [:D]
Would really recommend Cape Town as its a great place. Look foward to meeting lots of you at the PCP.

Thanks for the return TR. Good to that the FA were attentive enough to move to a row of 4! [y]

[:D] I think its those moments that have caused many of us to insist we'll only fly in something other than Economy. If only the bank balances were equally as willing!

Will look forward to getting some tips on CPT from you at the PCP.

Thanks,
Sarah
